A quick question for you all. I'm looking for Martha. She use to go by Jenny a few years ago. Shes a 44 y/o latina. Shes from Honduras. The Fig Pics have been slow lately.
I have a pretty decent camera but almost every pic I take seems to be blurred.
Even a couple I have taken in the room with girls seem to be blurred.
Someone told me I need to buy a camera stand because digital cameras are sensative to moving. Not sure if I can see myself bringing a camera stand into the room or mounting one on the car as I drive around.
It depends on what kind of camera you have as well, a cheap digital camera will do as good as an SLR digital camera for our purposes, I have used one with a huge zoom lens but the smallest movement will blur beyond recognition I am sure there are settings for that but hell it is easier to buy a camera that has that feature that reduces the movement for you. Nighttime forget about it.

Drove Fig this morning and saw a tall, thin BSW, and a WSW working 62nd. Took a while for the white girl to get picked up although many cars attempted. She seemed hesitant to move, and wouldn't get into my car to negotiate. I saw too many cars nearby, along with a huge tow truck parked near by, so I took off. Hope someone else had some luck.

It's really tough to get good pictures while mongering.. first of all you're moving most of the time and if you stop you look really suspicious if you're snapping pictures with some huge honkin digital camera..
I'm using a decent Canon point and shoot with a good optical zoom and just shot my first SW photos in a while (see Long Beach).. kinda parked in a shady spot in a parking lot across the street and shot a couple real quick...
Any of you "photo" posters got any tips?

I bought a regular slr camera along with my digital slr.
I never once used it, Still new in the box, I have no idea what I was thinking!
I have the Canon Rebel Digital SLR as well with a 300MM Lens It's just to hard to take pictures when you see a hot s/w you just want to pounce on her, not photo her.

I stopped at Fry's on Friday & picked up a new camera. My other one took a shit. I was sooo pissed. I had that camera for a year. I was taking pics on Fig & it just stopped working. I just chucked it out the window & watched it bounce on down the sidewalk. It was a Samsung. Samsung can make a cell phone & a television, but they don't make a decent digital camera.
This Fry's special was $129.00 for a Canon Point & Shoot. We'll see how long this one lasts.

I have been using an Olympus camera for years (C-4000 at the moment). My Olympus cost several fold more than your $129 a couple years ago, but if I were buying a mongering camera, here are the options I would look for:
Maximum optical zoom (10x, for instance): because street shots need serious telephoto ability.
Ability to take high resolution pix (but most cameras do this these days.) Of course, since USASG only allows 640 x 640, size is only important before you crop the image so that you get maximum detail in the post.
Easy Macro lens function: we all love the close ups for serious action. Be sure you know how to activate it, and what minimum distance is required...
Small camera size: so that we are not too obvious when snapping SW on the street.
Relatively low cost: Duh--so that when the boyz lift it, it isn't THAT serious a loss.
