Do you know if she is still available at a new location?

Thanks Bro for confirming! Glad to hear that she's safe.

Seeing Bro-Fleshlight's research, it's sad to hear that $4,500 for sprinkler installation wasn't palatable for the 586 owners. At that figure per owner, an extra $75 bucks a month in maintenance fees would've allowed the AOAO to build a reserve for installation in only five years & those folks would still be here today. We'll see what the investigation concludes but you can just imagine the coming insurance adjustments and lawsuits.

Thanks for the confirmation and research Bros! Be safe and pass along our best wishes to J.

In 2005 the city created a task force to identify and recommend sprinkler systems to several condos, Marco Polo being one of them. $4500 to install per unit. Tax credits and low interest loans were offered, however, the building and owners declined. The rest is history.

Very sad. People died and lost their homes.

I believe the condo association would be responsible

Instead of funding to build a light rail, maybe the city should use the money in fire prevention in older buildings and put in sprinklers. Much better use of the money than what it is being used for now.
